Pucon

Wir freuten uns riesig auf Pucon und es empfang uns mit strömendem Regen und ca. 10 Grad, was nach 40 Grad in Santiago fast ein Schock war. Am nächsten Tag war aber strahlend blauer Himmel und wir sehen jetzt die Parallelen zur Schweiz. Es ist grün, hat chaletartige Häuser, Kühe, Berge, Seen und ist einfach wunderschön. Was wir in der Schweiz natürlich nicht haben ist ein aktiver Vulkan. Das Entertainement Programm in Pucon ist riesig. Am ersten Tag gingen wir an einen wunderschönen Strand “playa blanca”, der See erinnerte uns ein wenig an den Vierwaltstättersee. Am nächsten Tag wanderten wir im Nationalpark 6 Stunden, was uns ganz schön an unsere Grenzen brachte, doch die Seen waren mega schön und belohnten uns für die harte Arbeit. Im Nationalpark trafen wir noch zwei Schweizer und einer war FCZ Fan und der andere FCL Fan und so konnte Daniela den Match FCZ-FCL life verfolgen. Der FCZ gewann und ist somit Tabellenerster! Hurra;-) Nicole fand auch dank ihrem Odlo Leibchen heraus, dass sie mit einem der Jungs (Sandro Iten) mal bei Cadbury Schweiz gearbeitet hat und so verbrachten sie 2 Std. mit Cadbury Talk. Wie klein die Welt doch ist! Als Cowboy Frauen haben wir uns auch probiert und sind 4 Stunden mit Pferden durch die wunderschöne Natur geritten, unser Pos werden es uns danken. Doch es war es wert, denn der Ritt entlang dem Fluss, durch den Wald und die chilenische Weite, war einfach ein Traum. Nicole‘s Pferd war nicht das schnellste und nahm es eher gemütlich und so sah sie die Truppe meistens nur von hinten und kam ziemlich staubig am Ziel an!. Am letzen Tag in Pucon bestiegen wir den Vulkan Villarica. Wir bekamen eine super trendige Ausrüstung, fette Bergschuhe, Leuchthosen, Jacke, Helm, Pickel, Rucksack etc… Mit einem spanischen Pärchen machten wir uns an den Aufstieg, die ersten 200 Höhenmeter durften wir noch auf einem Sessellift fahren, danach ging es aufwärts! 4.5 Stunden lang, 1000 Höhenmeter, es war super anstrengend. Daniela die nicht so gerne bergauf ging war ziemlich am motzen aber die Aussicht von Oben war super super schön(musste sogar Daniela eingestehen). Eines der Highlights für alle war, dass man auf dem “Hosenfüdli” runter rutschen konnte, was uns den Abstieg ersparte und fun fun fun bedeutete! Am Abend gönnten wir uns ein heisses Bad in den nahen Thermen, das war die Krönung der letzten Tag, einfach herrlich unter dem Sternenhimmel im heissen Wasser zu entspannen!

We were very much looking forward to go to Pucon, but Pucon welcomed us with rain and 10°, compared to Santiago (40°) it was very chilly. The next day was much more friendly and we could see the similarities with Switzerland very well. Pucon is very green, has little chalet houses, cows, mountains, lakes and is very beautiful. Of course we don’t have volcano’s in Switzerland and this makes this place very special and unique for us.
The entertainment program in Pucon is large. On the first day we wanted to rest a little bit and went to a pretty beach called Playa Blanca, it reminded us very much of the Swiss lake Vierwaltstättersee. The next day we decided to go for a hike in the national park, we hiked for about 6 hours, mainly up and because of that the whole trip was quit exhausting. But it was worth the effort, the lakes we visited were just beautiful. And funny enough we met two Swiss guys and after talking to them for a while we found out that Nicole used to work with Sandro Iten at Cadbury Switzerland, so they had a nice long chat about Cadbury while they walked! Daniela was also in good company, since Sandro is a FCZ football fan and Oli FCL, since these two teams were playing while we hiked, Daniela could follow the game very closely and Sandro and Daniela were very happy at the end, since FCZ (Zurich team) won and is now first in their group!
The next day we decided to be “cowwomens“, we went for a nice long horse ride. We were riding along the river, through forests and enjoyed the beautiful countryside of Chile. Nicole’s horse was not the quickest, for this reason she was most of the time riding at the back of the group and because of that she ended up quit dusty. We know that we had to pay the next day, than horse riding for beginners is painful, we can tell you!
The next day we hiked up the volcano Villarica, quit an adventure, since you have to walk up for around 4.5 hours and cross a glacier. But the adventure company equipped us very well, with special trousers, jackets (very modern ones), gloves, helmet, climbing shoes and a backpack. We had to overcome 1000 meter of height, which was exhausting but the view on top was worth every drop of sweat (Daniela is not a big fan of hiking upwards, but she also had to agree on this point). One of the highlights was the sliding down on our bottoms, which was fun and fast and the best of all, we didn’t have to walk down! In the evening we soaked in the hot springs close to Pucon, which was amazing for our sore muscles and ours souls, since we had a clear view to the stars up in the sky!
